Each student used tempera cakes to paint any design of their choice in one set of analogous colors on one square paper. They then drew a set of birch tree shapes on another square paper and used black tempers cakes to paint the outline of each tree and the horizontal lines on each trunk.
After both papers are dry they cut out each tree an glued each on top the analogous painting. Very striking. Thanks to deep-space-sparkle for sharing all your great lessons and ideas!
